Preparation Instructions for Oriental Salmon
Servings: 2 servings of 4 blocks each

12 oz. salmon 1/4 c dry white wine 3 T water 1 T sugar 2 T lite soy sauce 1 t grated ginger root 1 t cornstarch 1 1/3 c mandarin orange 2 1/2 c steamed broccoli |
- Combine wine, 3 T water, sugar, soy sauce and ginger in saucepan and bring to a boil
- dissolve cornstarch in remaining water, add to soy mixture and cook, stirring, until thickened
- baste salmon with mixture
- broil 3-5 minutes each side, basting several times during cooking
- serve with remaining sauce and 1 1/4 c broccoli
- have 2/3 c oranges with meal or for dessert
